In this exhibit, one series of watercolors, "Quilted Fields of Provence," captures the winding narrow roads and compact hilltop villages of Provence, France. The second series, "Sanctuary in France," explores the idea of refuge. When a huge revered and treasured tree was blown down and severely damaged Beck-Rex's home during Hurricane Isabel, it was her good fortune to have a few weeks of refuge in the small towns of southwest France.
Come meet Marguerite Beck-Rex and hear the fascinating stories of her travels through the south of France.An artist's reception will be held on Saturday May 10th, from 7pm to 9pm.
